New Cricut Projects

The Cricut is not just for scrapbooking and card making!!

We have a new grandson named Tate. When a new grandchild arrives my husband and I make a name plaque for the baby! The latest is a Fire truck -

I cut the desired design and name out of paper with my Cricut and then my husband Rick cuts it out of wood and paints it. A wonderful keepsake for the new baby!!  Others we have made are -

Christmas Swap!!

I participated in a Christmas swap on the Cricut forum. We were to create 20 items based on the Christmas song - Chestnuts Roasting on a open fire.

These are what I received from my secret sister, Candy.

Cricut Craft Room Quilted Ornaments

I have had Quilted Ornaments in CCR for awhile but have not tried cutting them. I originally set out to make a 3D ornament but the cuts are so integrate and I don't think I used heavy enough paper, so, unfortunately they didn't turn out.

So I used the ornaments that did cut nicely to make a set of note cards. I sprayed the ornaments with glimmer mist and then with a red alcohol ink. (This doen't really show up in the picture unfortunately.  )
